Nick Prukop is an associate attorney in the firm’s San Diego office. He represents investors, financial advisors, investment advisory firms, and other business entities involved in financial disputes and business transitions. His practice focuses on matters concerning securities fraud, broker misconduct, advisor transitions and talent acquisition, and business mergers. He collaborates directly with clients to analyze trading records, valuation models, and compliance data, ensuring that claims and defenses rest on clear financial narratives. Nick regularly applies disciplined risk assessment, settlement analysis, and regulatory-response planning to protect investors, advisers, and institutions at every phase of a dispute.
Prior to joining the firm, Nick was a civil defense litigator with years of experience defending both individuals and corporations in high-stakes disputes involving professional malpractice, personal injury, and contract related issues. Nick also has a judicial background, having served as law clerk to a Maryland judge during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nick routinely utilizes his skills in crafting and arguing legal motions to position his clients for favorable outcomes prior to trial.
Nick graduated from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business with a B.S. in Business Administration and a Minor in Sports Media Studies and then earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virgina School of Law. He is admitted to practice in all California state courts, as well as in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Central, and Northern Districts of California.
